How long have you been in business?

Phil Bates, our Owner, has a degree in Horticulture and has been working in the field since 2009. Phil Bates Landscapes officially opened in 2018.

What areas do you serve?

We proudly serve the communities of: Nolensville, Murfreesboro, Smyrna, Franklin, Brentwood, Nashville, Belle Meade, Spring Hill, Columbia, College Grove, as well as

most surrounding areas of Middle Tennessee.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes, our estimates are always free of charge. You will receive an in-depth analysis of your project with a budget proposal included..

Do you create 3D Design? Is there a charge for 3D Designs?

Yes, we offer 3D Design work for a nominal charge that is identified upfront. We create 3D model concepts that are inclusive of the entire project scope.

Are you insured?

We are licensed and insured in the state of Tennessee.

What does it cost to hire your Company?

Landscaping comes in all size and manner of job complexity. Our services range from simple flower bed installation to customized, multi-material outdoor experiences that include; grill islands, stone and wood work, and large-scale outdoor gaming. Pricing is based upon each service offered. We work diligently alongside each and every Client to ensure clear and transparent communication from project conception through completion, and to provide every Client with the best possible experience along the way.

Do you offer Hardscaping services such as patio installation, outdoor kitchens, fire pits and retaining walls?

Yes, we offer a wide range of Hardscape services. Please view our Services tab for more information, and our Gallery section on the main page for images of completed projects.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Cash or Check payments as detailed at Contract agreement. We also accept Credit Cards and Venmo for a nominal service fee.

Does having a fully designed front and back yard add value to my home?

Whereas it is difficult to ascertain the impact upon value, homes that feature well maintained custom designed landscapes and hardscapes certainly have the potential to add value to the home and for the prospective buyer. Presenting a home that is "move in ready" projects a positive image and can be very memorable to prospective buyers as they evaluate potential new homes. Key features like landscaping stand out!
